No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.
no, not a chance, even with 205s they will rub like mad.
the 949's are direct fit on an ix with just the centering rings (which you don't really need if you use studs). to fit a 225 on an 8" rim and a decent offset you still have to roll/trim the rear fender flares.
nothing that's more than ET35 or so is going to fit. the 949's are really your best bet for a light weight, affordable, wide 15" wheel.
Ok, I am not too fond of the style of wheel, but I guess it doesn't matter. I found a few enkei wheels with an offset of 25, but that is as high as they go.
Damn, I guess it will be the 949s unless something else pops up. With that wheel I could run a 235/50 with some rolling and trimming of the fendres, correct?
yes, you'll also need a sufficient rear spring rate for 235s, H&Rs aren't going to cut it.
I plan on doing GC with the shortened housings and shocks up front with the camber plates, then 600f/700r springs. Is this the best it gets for dialing out understeer. If anything I would rather have a little oversteer.
