Has some initial issues to deal with. The original 2.79 open diff I installed ate the pinion bearing within 4 miles. I can only assume it was dropped at some point for how fast the cage disintegrated. I bought a 2.79 LSD and that has been good. The trans fluid also developed a pepto bismal hue indicated the converter or trans had water in it. I tore the trans down and rebuilt it and did the required mods to make it a full manual deal. Good thing I tore it down as the frictions had started to delaminate from the backing plates.

Drove it to work this morning and coolant temps never got over 183. Cruised at 3k rpm 75 and made the 60 mile trek without issue. Ill probably go to a hydroboost setup in the near future. Not a huge fan of the manual brakes so far.

Machined center support for better fluid flow on the direct feed mod.

Shit that washed off all the hard parts as they were cleaned.

Machining the pressure plates to get .050" of clutch clearances. I didn’t want to wait to order thinner steels, so this was the easiest way.

Reunited with the rest of the Alpinewies

you mentioned hydroboost. are you planning to go with the sikky kit? if you want to save some money, i think they will sell you the machined parts from both ends of the booster for about 3-400 bucks and you can source the rest of the parts yourself. i looked into this about a year ago, but it turns out they won't work with an s62.

Thanks for the tip. $1200 for the complete setup is a tough nut to swallow when the rest of the stuff can be sourced so cheaply.

I did the sikky style hydroboost on my own with a chevy astro booster it's not that difficult and way cheaper to do it that way

Been daily driving the car all month. Finally had a chance to weigh the car. Comes in at 3160lbs. Prior to the swap it was 3020. Late model verts arent exactly light.

Ordered a Vbox sport so Ill be able to get some data on the car. I also need to finish buying the last of the nitrous parts I need.

Sold the nitrous after going through a bottle in like half an hour. Too much hassle with refills.

Picked up an Eaton M122 off a GT500. It already has a 2.4" pulley on it, so combined with the 7.5" crank pulley, it'll be turning around 20k rpm at redline. I suspect it'll run around 17lbs on this little motor. I have a cathedral port lower intake from Magnuson on the way. Going to make an adapter plate for this blower and have an idler pulley mounted to the plate. I'm hoping to get 75% belt wrap on the pulley with the stock fbody accessory drive. Due to no intercooler, I'm going to spray a shitload of water/meth through the rotors.

Not much of a start, but hope to have everything mocked up on a friends motor within a month so everything is an afternoon bolt on. Total investment thus far between the blower, rails and lower intake is $780. Should be complete, even with injectors and pump for under $1500.
