October 2016 Car of the Month: NickL

***Editors Note: This was a no-brainer. Nicks car is a stunner. Its old "stanced out" version was nice, but not quite my own personal taste, though it still look amazing. I knew when he changed it up to really enjoy he was caught with the bug. They certainly look great dropped to the ground, but throw some proper suspension on it and watch out world. Story behind the car:

My father gave me this car when I turned 16. He bought it brand new in '87. Over the course of 7 years of ownership, the car has been through multiple stages, from lowering springs and stock wheels, to air ride, wide and low offset schmidts, to a now more functional setup. It made the cover of PBMW Mag in April of this year, something I never possibly could have dreamed of. For those that have a copy, I hope you enjoyed it!

The car has original paint, which shows sometimes but i enjoy its character. Its an absolute blast to drive.

Come 2017 I'm excited for it to see some track time. I have a cage and some nice recaros lined up for it this winter, as well as complete euro bumpers as aesthetically the US bumpers are killing me. I enjoy taking it to shows and driving it as much as I do, but want it to perform on the track as well.

Owning the car has been a blast. Met tons of close friends, traveled all sorts of places, done lots of burnouts, been great. R3v is a great resource and although I dont frequent the site as much as I used to, its always been a great community. Very thankful for and appreciate the opportunity for the car of the month!

    -Nick

Super clean car! Very nice engine bay work! I'm liking the style 42s here though normally I don't particularly like them on an e30

Haha he probably saw them from our friend Trevor from h2oi last weekend. I just tossed the bumpers on before the event. I have a shot I can send to you.

Thanks again for the opportunity and thanks everyone!

Looks great with the Euro bumps. They really pop on a dark colored car.

Pic added and it really helps to show the evolution while its been yours
