    Should I???????

A customer of mine is selling her e39 to me. Its a 97 525 with 120k on chassis. She had blown the head gasket and decided to replace the motor with an m54. The car looks like it has been painted at one time but not hit. Paint im not worried about. Interior is clean, no rips and looks like it has been well maintained. Has receipts of reputable shop that has done work to it. She's asking $4000....but thats not what im going to pay...
I guess my question is..should I??? I have an e30 project that Im working on and as you know, its taking alot of$$$$. I dont have a DD so this would be something I would like for the fam. Hit me up with your opinions. Thanks...

No. $4k is waaay too much for a 6-cyl E39 w/ a blown HG. I may have missed it, but is it auto? if so, BIG NO!

      I picked up my E39 540i/6 w/ 149k for $4800.

Not a 97. It's worth half that at best.

E39's aren't my ideal choice, but in the end you should do what makes you happy. Just get ready to have your balls bashed for posting something about an E39 on an E30 forum. lol

I traded my e30 for an e39. Still a great decision. Mine is a 2003 with the premium/sport packages though. 97s are jus too old.

Did you buy that from cali by any chance? I saw an identical car for an identical price on sfbay CL a few months ago.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30
