Los Angles People that want a Detail done CHEAP!

Sorry for the spam, but I need to get a replacement lens (the one i had fell 6ft off of the rig onto concrete )for a school project before school starts in 2 weeks.

I have lowered my price for r3vlimited members significantly.

    That means:

    $250 for a full detail

    $150 for 1 step

    $30 for a Wash

    $60 for a wash/wax

Please PM/email me if you want to take advantage of these prices.

Here's a link to the site - JC Detail

      That means:

$250 for a full detail (thats crazy expensive...$150, I can get the job done)

$150 for 1 step ( seriously? overly priced..)

$30 for a Wash ( you can get a mobile detail come out and give you a FULL detail for that price)

      $60 for a wash/wax ( on a suv...not a car.)

call me crazy but your prices are way to high. this is coming from somebody that used to work for a detail company and do it on the side.

Its probably his location. Who cares how much he charges. But he seems to be doing pretty well and people driving those cars will pay those prices than waste an hour of their own time or risk getting brake dust on their gucci loafers.

Those prices are crazy. Also, how about posting pictures of something older than a 2000? I would hope newer cars like those would shine up good!

Lol, your an idiot if you would do a full detail for $150. Those are good prices for a professional detail. A business where they hire hispanics for $5 an hour to rub dirty towels on your car and spray armor all every where is not a detail shop.

Good prices and good work. If you want your car actually detailed and not cleaned with some wax poorly thrown on it you will pay at least what he is charging. You guys are nuts if you think you are getting a good detail for $150. I've seen people pay $500 or more for what he is charging $250 for.

You just have to realize that your are preaching to a poorer community, than the cars you posted. Most of us don't have the money to waste on a detail that we can do ourselves. I'm sure your details are amazing work, but e30 guys HAVE TO BE DIY for the most part. Plus we are not fake e36/e46/e39/e92/e60...all for image and status point bmw owners, otherwise we wouldn't own e30s. You'll have much better luck on bimmerforums, or the e46 sites. Sorry to say it but it's the truth.

I came up with this pricing structure to put on a calculator on my friends website... the prices are pretty much what he's charging now, and he has a huge backlog of people wanting their cars done from word of mouth alone...

                              "Base Price Category:
                              -Car/Small SUV/Small Pickup... Multiplier x1
-Large Pickup... Ext. Multiplier x1.3, Int. Multiplier x1
-Larger vehicles: Minivan/Mid-Large SUV... Multiplier x1.3

                              Exterior services:
                              *Professional Wash&dry -- $25
                              *Tire Shine -- $5
Forever Black trim conditioner -- $20+
                              *Clay+Wax -- $60
                              *Wax --> Sealant -- $20
                              Glaze -- $20
On request or req'd: Light polish -- $30
                              Or Heavy polish -- $60
Clay & apply sealant to wheels -- $40
                              *Clean & Condition Seals -- $15
                              Engine bay detail -- $20

                              Interior services:
                              *Dust+Vacuum+Clean windows -- $20
*Leather Clean&Condition -- $20 (or cloth seats clean)
                              -->Luxury Leather Care +$10 Extra
                              *303 protect all plastic/vinyl/rubber surfaces -- $20
                              Clean carpet stains -- $15

All starred* items can be included as part of the Full-Monty package, which will receive 10% discount (ie $185 -->$166.50 for a car). This discount is applied to all services if the Full-Monty package has already been selected."

So as you can see, with a big vehicle you could get the bill over $300. This sounds like a lot for what some consider a "clean", but if your paint is beginning to look old, then it can often still be made to look new with a lot of TLC and good products. So think of it as cheaper than a $5K respray in some cases.
For the detailer(s), it may cost $40+ in supplies to do a car, and it can take 2 people a 10+ hour day to get some details done... so you're still only talking $10/hr.
So, no, $200 for a detail is quite reasonable...
