    6 if my buddy gets a Bimmer by summer like he is planning to do... Right now he's got a Ford Escort ZX2 but I guess we could let him tag along in that if he has to...

      my friend wants an e30, and he has a saturn right now but i guess he could come in that if he doesnt have one in time.

        I'd be interested in going, but only if I can get some of my maintenance stuff done; ie, front suspension, steering rack, cooling, and hopefully AC. I don't want to drive long-distances until then.

        So you're thinking summer? Isn't there an E30 meet in WA in August?

          Summer fo sho... WA is a little far for most of us to drive! Four Corners is fairly close to people in these four states.

          I've got maintenance stuff that I have to do too... In fact, I don't even know if my E30 would be going, it might be getting sold, I don't even know!! Even if I don't sell, it's not even driveable yet, and once it is I still need suspension and wheels before I attempt to drive anywhere people might actually SEE it! lol

          Might have to pack up the E28 for the trip... and that's not a bad thing!

              Tranny swaps are easy... You will need a pedal box, the correct interior console, tranny, driveshaft, and... that should be it!

                  Hell no, you just need to buy one from a manual E30 with the same number of doors! Even just the front half will be fine, they fit together...

                      So uh... what time frame are we looking at? Im open all summer except for two weeks (not sure yet when they are) for National Guard summer training.

                          not to thread jack, but as I read on 5 sp swaps I think you don't even need to modify anything in interior... just gt260, pedal box (if '90/\ then you can use auto box, but transplant the pedal to it) depends on years, some sensors involved... driveshaft, manual rad, ofcourse clutch hydrolics, electrical sh-t like rear light, cruise control... I've done a swap (with my dad) on e36's and it wasn't that bad at all, took us the whole day... and we had some good air tools and lift (last one isn't necessary)

                            Thanks, if i did the job i would have a lift and a huge shop to take use of. i think i can handle it, i just have to wait and see.

                              You need the manual center console, unless E30s are different and just have a cover of some sort for the auto models...
