    Hex Screw Help

    Hi folks,

I've been experiencing some issues with my cabrio top. Recently there has been a lot of wind noise at around 50mph (80km/h). I know that some wind noise is to be expected, but I want to try everything I can to alleviate some of this and make the drive more comfortable.

I've read on this forum that the hex screws on either side of the frame can provide some forward/backward movement.

I have tried using a 5mm hex key (which seems to be tight/nice fit), but the screws won't budge. I've sprayed them countless times with penetrating oil and they will not move at all.

Is there a trick for them to turn? Does the soft top have to be in a certain position for it to be effective. Also, which turning direction will move the frame forward?

    Your help is much appreciated!

Those screws don't shift the frame forward or backwards. They change the tension in the rear section of the top and may effect the gap where the top fits along the deck lid.

To reposition the top you need to add or remove shim at the hinges
