Fuel Tank same as other models?

I probably have to replace my fuel tank, and just curious if its the same as domestic (USA) sedans and coupes. looking on real oem makes me think yes, but just double checking with this forum.
    Thanks,
    JIM

Yep, it should be. I just replaced the one in the M40 car with one off of eBay and it worked just fine.

My understanding is that there are 2 E30 fuel tanks - 55 liter and 63 liters. I think post-facelift M20 cars plus all tourings have the larger tank. Please post a correction if this is wrong, and I will edit/delete my post. Just trying to help people who find this tread in the future.

It was the larger tank on my '90 M20 touring.

It seems that all tourings got the larger tank, even the M40 cars. An easy way to differentiate between them is that the small tanks have a crossover pipe on the outside, under the car, and the larger tanks have two pump/sensor holes in the top as pictured above.

You can always put the VIN in to realOEM to confirm.
