It's easy enough to test them without removing the seats. The bottom should raise on its own with your weight off and the lever pushed down.

It's also important to make sure the pivot points are clean and not corroded to minimize load on the shocks.

I just received shipping confirmation so now is the time to confirm your interest. I'll be sending PMs once they are in hand which should be Monday if not Saturday.

Again, each set will contact 2x350N for the sport seat backs and 2x450N for the bottoms along with new push nuts.

                      Thanks

                        PMd you for four sets.

Just a little food for thought: my seat shocks were always a little weak, but worked nonetheless. On the first, super cold day of last fall I decided to move the seatback rearward as I was leaving out the driveway. I leaned towards the steering wheel, pulled the lever up and leaned back. Much to my surprise, the seat fell backwards to the extreme horizontal position, I lost my grip on the steering wheel and slammed the accelerator at the same time.:(

It took me two or three seconds to gain control, but I thought about how lucky I was that it didn't happen at 70 mph on a crowded highway or coming up to a busy intersection in town.

Or that it didn't happen to my wife or kids.

After that little hair raising incident I decided good seat back struts weren't a luxury and were more of safety issue.

                        Just my two cents.

This is an excellent point. Keep in mind that virtually ALL owners manuals tell you not to adjust seats or steering wheels while you are driving. I trust everyone takes this to heart as it is a genuine safety concern as keflaman has said.

Having said that, everyone MUST now buy new seat shocks. Resistance is futile

Shipment is due tomorrow (Monday) so can go out by Tuesday. I tried to PM everyone who had dibs and am now letting everyone else know.

There are 4 shocks to a set, with each set containing 2x350N which is factory spec for the seat backs and 2x450N for the bottoms which is just below the factory 500N but more than adequate.

Again, prices to include new push nuts and priority post to your door.
