DTM Front and Rear Suspension Done FINALLY!

    Hey guys!

its been a while since my last post, i was fabricating...

After a lot of hard work, this babies are ready to roll... I would like to thank Conrad Timms and Julien Violet for the help, without them i would not complete this project.

Front Suspension is based on Early setup, the uprights are made of chromoly steel, wheel bearing is from e28 m5 rears (big bearings) they are easy to change when bad. I had to fabricate the entire hub from scratch, this is because the OEM ones didn't have the proper shaft for the bearing, and if i machined it, it would have very thin wall, and could break.

Rear Suspension is based on Late Setup, the hubs are e30 m3 OEM, i didn't want to use the e28 M5 half shafts because i already had Chromoly HD shafts, that works very good for my HP, so i decided to go OEM on this, but instead of using a circlip to retain the bearing, i used a big hollow bolt to hold it. Camber/Toe parts are DTM replica.

Hope you like this project as much as i love to develop this parts!

My car is being modified at the moment..this are a few pics.

    thanks for watching!

Wow. How did you do it all? Where were the measurements garnered from? Super work. Would love more details to get lost in.

            hey!

it was a lot of time consuming! fronts where copied from a prodrive unit, the star housing i made.

rears.. ugh... haha lots of work, i first made corrections to the oem ones, cut, weld, etc, and then i made a jig (show in the pic) to build new units..

subframe is raised like 25 mm upwards, to compensate negative camber due to the car being so low, this also helped half shafts angle

            thanks for watching!

Amazing!! Is this an old rally car? A track car would not need the hydraulic handbrake would it?

We used to have a ProDrive (I believe) rallye specs M3 many years ago until the driver/owner died in a fatal crash here racing his M3.

This one was modified entirely from a regular M3 by Said (OP). I believe he installed the hidraulic hand brake for AutoX purposes which raced a couple and then moved entirely to the circuit.
