    OE/80a Poly/UHMW

Background: My iX is a daliy driver :) on H&Rs and BillyHD >15k miles (with new tierods, f/r swaylinks, outer ball joints, strut/shock mounts.) Eventually I will get a ground control setup, It sees mostly all its time street driving, and like most E30s the rear subframe bushings and trailing arms need to be refreshed. If you have any experience with these or just want to tell me I'm stupid for not just going OE feel free to chime in. Thanks

If I go OE I know I can run Rwd subframe bushings
Can I run a centered diff bushing?

I think except for stock, Condor is the only aftermarket solution that you will find for IX subframe and diff bushings.

I'm really happy with the revshift 95a setup in the rear of my iX. Definitely stiffer than stock, but will still absorb some vibration/road noise.

Not sure if you intend to lower it, but between the stock offset diff mount and the taller ix subframe stopper washers, it's easy enough to run RWD washers and a centered diff mount and have zero problems running RWD bushings.

If you're keeping ride height similar to stock, you'll need to make a spacer for the inner bushing sleeve in the subframe bushings(a piece of stock bushing sleeve from the old bushings works well,) and find an offset diff mount (I'm running a centered diff mount and haven't had any issues, but the proper mount would be better)

Yeah they are the only iX specific ones. Since my iX is on H&Rs I have the option of running a rwd bushing.

It is already lowered on H&R's it pretty much looks stock especially with the 14" steelies. I intend on lowering even more but right now the rwd subframe bushing will help correct some of the camber/ toe created by using the longer iX subframe bushings. I also ran into another thread you commented on mentioning the diff needing to be spaced down unless you use a centered bushing. If I get the centered bushing will that correct the drivetrain angle? I don't really want to have a preload on the rear driveshaft flex disc if I can help it. Also what do you mean by rwd washers? You don't need to space the rwd bushings if lowered correct? I kinda want to get the 95a bushings but I'm not really sure how it would benefit my situtation. My current list includes pretty much Revshift rear subframe/ trailing arm bushings and centered diff bushing, and all in 80a.

Alignment sheet to show camber/ toe in the rear with H&Rs. This was right after the install so nothing was settled and the front has been realligned since.

I might just be easier to go with the UHMW condor bushings

I have a buddy that swapped out his 95a for 80a recently. Anyway I was talking to him and he said that the hole on the IX body for the bushing sleeve is actually deeper than a rwd.

Northern: quoting you from another thread on bimmerforums "I cut off .300" of the old bushing sleeve and pushed it up through the bottom of the new subframe bushing so the new sleeve seated properly in its recess on the car. I used an "i" subframe, and the iX bushing load-spreader washers"
So the iX load spreading washers are the washers with the hats on them as opposed to rwd ones which are just a flat washer. Also been referred as stopper washers

Did you push the extra .300 sleep from the old bushing sleeves that you cut through the bottom? What do you use to accomplish this or would it be suitable to use a rwd stopper washer and then stack washers on top of each other to achieve the same thing.

I'm using rwd delrin for the subframe and diff and OEM rubber for the trailing arms with a weld in camber/toe adjust. Works great!

I vote OE. Never cared for hardened bushings for subframe/TAs, as I've always hated the added vibration for very little functional performance gain (for me personally, not tracking the car).

I appreciate all the input from everyone.

I am getting some free 95a Revshift bushings from a friend
I will use the subframe bushings, buy oe Rtab, condor speedshop centered diff bushing
And also some centered control arm bushings from condor

Overall I believe it won't be a bad setup. I will keep everyone updated after I get to drive on them.

So the condor CAB sucked and I put on some 95a akg bushings. I'm currently looking for another subframe to weld some camber/ toe correction tabs on.
