A while back I started the timing belt job and put everything back together and there was an obvious leak on the water pump because I didn't torque it. I went to France and 3 weeks later we are here and I got a new gasket and a torque wrench that can accomodate the 16ft lbs. So I torqued and it seems the water pump is fine but some rad hoses have leaks.
There is basically 2 sides of the leak, and one is coming from the thermostat housing. Is there a gasket for this?
It's like the leak is on the right side of the engine and rolls down to the left. There is some coolant on the alternator and there is a "stream" of coolant that goes below the water pump, but it doesn't leak from the bottom bolt of the water pump, so if the pump was leaking it would have to be the bolt on the right side that is impossible to get to without taking everythint back off. It seems more realistic that the leak on the right drips down the timing cover somehow and drips at the bottom of the block ok the left.
