Why arent more people using e36 sport seats?

Im curious why this topic isn't discussed more - my understanding is with custom rails the e36 m3 sport seats (non-vaders) are bolt ins to the e30. This seams like a great alternative option to the ever increasing price of good condition e30 sport seats.

Am I missing something? Are people running them? Do you like them?

They're just not as popular. I actually prefer them over Vaders. I had Vaders in one of my previous E30s and sport seats in my E36 M3 sedan. I thought the sport seats were much more comfortable and supportive.

Same here. Reallt depends on your height and how you are built. I am 6 2 and have broad shoulders. Vaders pinch my shoulders pretty badly. Nice to look at though

If you have buy custom brackets/rails you mind as well get Recaros or something worthwhile. Besides most E36 seats are well worn these days too.

This is true, I had to take the best pieces of 6 seats to make one perfect pair for my e36. Lol

I have a st in my E34 and like them. Much more comfortable than E30 sport seats. I got my pair of cloth seats out of an m-tech 318ti. They do need a little bit of work though. $75 for the PAIR at the u-pull it isn't bad though.

E36 seats are pretty gay, in my politically correct opinion. Take the time to source out some nice e30 seats.

I had vadars and went back to the E30 Sport seats. I feel like the Vadars and the E36 sport seats look a little big for the E30. They look good but a little out of place. Also they are WAY heavier.
