New member coming from the Dub world

Hi Everyone, new here. My name is Patryk and I just picked up a 1991 325is Mtech II. The car is in mint condition, only 65xxxkm's. Its a Japanese import, but its Eurospec so its still LHD. The car is bone stock besides lower springs in the front. So far i've only driven it a handful of times as I still need it to pass inspection, but I love it already. Here's a few pics for clicks...

I come from the VW world and have been for the last 6 years, all this BMW stuff is pretty new to me. I owned an E36 for the past year, but unfortunately the car just wasnt up to my standards, and I just didnt have the time or motivation to bring it up to those standards. I've only had time for one car, which has been my pride and joy for the past 3 years. Here's how she looked this past summer...

In all honesty, this BMW will be my gf’s car for the next few years. Fear not, she is a car person too and plans to keep it clean and classy. She agreed to get this car until I’m ready to part ways with my .:R32, at which time I will take over the BMW and plan to do an S52/Manual tranny swap. We have a lot of mods planned for the spring, and hoping that everything goes smoothly with the inspection.

So there’s my introduction. I’m looking forward to learning more about these cars and enjoying the crap out of driving it around this summer. Thoughts and opinions always welcome:D

Beautiful Mtech what a great start to e30 ownership you are definitely taking the right approach. If the quality of work in your r32 is any indication of what you are capable of their e30 is in the right hands. I think in the e30 community the visual mods are more subtle and OEM than the vw community with more emphasis on driving events than visual impact. My buddy had an R32 he absolutely loved for several years that exhaust note is one of a kind. My wife rocks an e30 props to your Gf for doing the same.

        I quit

If that's your first e30, I might as well throw in the towel on trying to top that

Wow. I wouldn't do a thing to that. Looks great. Makes me want another e30.

Fuck man, your girlfriend's gonna be driving a nicer e30 than 75% of this forum haha. Definitely a great start!

            Welcome aboard fellow Canadian! :)

Damn bro, that's already one of the nicest e30's ive seen!

And it looks like you've already got the euroweaves, do you know what the offset is on those?

So you're telling me, another Canadian has exactly the same car as me, and plans to do the exact same thing to it? Let's be friends.

I saw this car on Kijiji (I think), and I was drooling at it until I found my car (also a euro spec jap import, check out my thread). Glad to see this thing wound up in such great hands!!! hope you got a good deal!

If you're in Vancouver/lower mainland shoot me a PM and I can direct you to some local forums!

edit: fairly sure there are only a few genuine M-tech 2 cars in all of Canada. Welcome to the club :)

Thanks everyone. I live in Calgary and there's not too many local E30 people/forums, but i'm quite active in our European car forum. As for the car, I cant say I really got a "deal" on it (some would say I paid a premium), but for what it is I think its worth every penny I paid.

When it comes to the mods, we want to keep it clean and simple. Smoked headlights/bumper lights, lightly smoked 3M tinted tails, M-Tech II steering wheel (right now has the M-Tech I), and of course these which are already sitting in my basement awaiting summertime...

16x8 & 16x9 ESM 002R's. Calgary roads suck balls so i'd rather get rock chips on replica wheels than the original BBS's. Might do coilovers, but we'll see how we like it with the summer wheels. Right now its sitting pretty good so hopefully we wont have to touch suspension this year.

After that it'll just be some interior mods (shift knob, pedals, ebrake handle, audio system), exhaust, intake and chip. Not really much I can think of doing past that point and still having it looking clean and simple.

Nice find. You're the third new owner of an original Mtech II this month. And the cleanest of them all.

Also for those who are a fan of E36's, this was the one I had for the past year. Nice car, but its just apples to oranges when comparing to the E30!!!
