    feeler 1992 318i convertible

hey guys i haven't been on this forum in a while due to the purchase of a Volkswagon ... i know im a traitor .... besides that i do plan on getting another e30 and going on with my dreams of the s50 swap....

anyways i have a 1992 318i vert with 67K on the clock and its all original comes with heated leather recaro seats ... car is in mint condition and has no body damage or rust anywhere no rips int he leather seats and no holes in the top

i am in the middle of trade school to be an automotive technician so maintenance is done for fun

the car has less then 100 miles on the front pads and rotors and the rear brake pads and rotors are in my garage waiting to be installed and i want to sell the car so the brakes are all brand new on all four tires. Oil is change every 3 months and the car doesn't go anywhere so i say mayb every 2,000 miles bc it cost me $15 to change the oil and there is no need to even lift the car so its very easy to do ...

the suspension has about 8k on the new strut inserts and shocks in the rear ... the intake manifold was beed blasted and clear coated 2 months ago and all the vacuume hoses were replaced in "the mess under the intake" as people would call it. The spark plug and wires were replaced november of 2007 and the water pump was done November of 2006 .. car has a brand new wiper switch all speakers were done in august of 2007 along with a CD player in the dash (orginal included). valve cover is soon to be refinished with a new gasket even though it does not leak oil ... the tires has 9k on them put on October of 2006

cons of the car is that the power mirrors do not work and the windshield washer fluid does not squirt out....

im open to offer with in reason and yes the car is for sale ... i would like to get 6500 (is that too much too little)

Uh, pics? Color of the car and interior? I'm thinking one or both might help you a little bit...

Maybe because 2 glamour shots of your car from the same angle showing a droopy front valence, missing lip and a bone stock front end isn't enough for the discriminating tastes here on R3V.

It looks like a nice car, but you're going to have to try harder than 2 pics to sell a $6500 318 cabrio. No interior pics, no underhood pics, no pics of the dash or cluster, no pics of the driver's side, no pics of the rear. How can you possibly expect to capture someone's legitimate interest?

Someone who's actively looking for a new car isn't going to give a half-baked ad a second glance unless it's the exact car they want. And not having pics of the car, inside and out and from all angles makes it look like either you're hiding stuff or you're just too lazy to really try to sell the car. And if you're too lazy to take pics of your own car in an effort to sell it, what else have you been to lazy to do? See what I mean?

                Tim

PS The reason M42club likes it so much is because they all love the 318 a lot more than the general E30 population. :D

In his defense, it is a feeler, not an ad. He'll most likely take more photos if he decides to actually create an ad. Agreed though, a feeler, like my recent one, needs enough photos for the reader to get a feel and tell the potential seller what they think.

Actually, he edited it from feeler to "yes the car is for sale" on the 16th, so this is his FS ad. :)

BTW, I'm not just busting his chops, I am an interested buyer of a nice cabrio, or rather my little brother is. He lives in VA Beach and since he came out and drove my car over Xmas he now wants one of his own. I'm trying to find him a clean, relatively unmolested car.

Huh, I'm not going to read that whole story he wrote, but the title still says "Feeler".

That's because he can't change the title. And his "yes the car is for sale" is in the last line of his first post.
