    16x8 steelies on my e30

I want to buy steelies, wanted some 16x9 but the company only offers 16x8
I wonder if anybody has pics of an E30 with 16" steelies on?
What offset would I need for a perfect set up if I run 16x8 on my car?
I am also considering 15x8 front and 15x9 back with chrome lips but I'm afraid it would look too small.(the 15" diameter not the 8' and 9' wide) ;-)

Anybody can explain how I can figure out what offset (backspacing) I need based on the width of the wheel?

    Any pics, advice?

    Thanks

Well, how do you want them to fit? Like 16x9's would, or less aggressive?

I want to try to stay away from fender rolling, or very light rolling if needed but I definately want the wide look, staggered.
My goal is to install front and rear without spacers and get the wheels to stick out of the fender slightly.
I plan on mounting 215s on the wheels so the wall will be stretched.

        Hope that makes sense,

        THanks

If you want the wheels to stick out of the fenders at all you will need some tire stretch and deff some fender rolling.

Thanks man, very nice cars, that reminds me when i go visit my cousin in Germany, Darmstadt.
Can you tell me what the offset if on the wheels? For each type of wheels and if you run them with spacers or not?
That would really help me find out what size and offset I want to run.

              Thanks

Alright. ET15 all around will get you exactly what you want. Use 215/40/16's and make sure they car is SLAMMED. Oh, and this is about 3" backspacing (well, ET12) on a 8" wheel.

we have 16x9... spacers are only on my car, cause I have RH wheels (RH has ET 50 and every wheel set include spencers, because every car needs other ET...)

you need ET 15 front and ET 25 rear wheels and it's OK... if on the front is ET more than 15 is problem with space between wheel and springs. if on the rear use another ETs more than 20 it looks bad and the wheel is very inside,if it is fewer that 20 its problem with space... ET 25 on the rear is ideal

                  we ride on 215/40/16 tyres

sorry, but I don't know what means OFFSET when we are speaking about wheels,my english is not perfect :-D

Thank you so much. I just want to recap.
I can order 16x8 steelies, with 3" backspacing and mount them on 215/40/16 without spacers. That will give me a slightly staggered/wide look?
Once I have confirmation, I'll place my order, can't wait to mount that set up.

After thinking about it a bit, shouldn't I have et20 in the front and et15 in the back? Right now I have 31mm spacers in the back on my 14x6 bottle caps and I don't rub (in the back) and 20mm spacers on same bottle caps (in the front)
The wheels don't really stick out much but I understand they are 14's and that might make a diffenrence as well.
Just making sure I'm thinking correctly here.
Again, thanks for your help, and patience ;-)

                    Thanks again

Thanks for helping Bali, Offset is what you call ET, for example ET25 is a 25 millimeter offset.

That will be what you want...

Ok, I'm going to ask them if they have a picture of the 16x8 wheel with that offset or get some info on the dimension of it.
So, getting different offset in the front and back is not necessary?

it is not necessary, but is possible that rear wheels will rub... and it along tires too... I had problem with Pirelli PZero tires, but with Toyo Proxes not in the same size
