How is it possible that you can be so completely and utterly annoying? Please, stop it. That is all I ask.

as far as drifting an E30 M20...yes, as far as getting nitrous to drift... you should really just give your E30 to your mom because she could probably drift better if you think nitrous is a good starting modification on a stock M20 to drift with. Nitrous has its place, and that is the drag strip. Anyone who talks about nitrous for anything but a drag application is generally regarded by most of the automotive and E30 community as a moron.

As far as actually drifting an M20, get yourself a 3.73LSD and suspension, then get professional instruction or at least someone who knows E30 drifting to ride with you in a big empty parking lot to teach you to slide it.

As far as drifting in 4th... I doubt that, but whatever makes you smile when you write your tall tales for a couple dozen guys who know you're entirely full of shit. PS - if it has to be raining and on bald tires when you do the 4th gear drifts, maybe next time include THAT bit of deep imagery in your long winded "how srzbznz i dr1ftz" speech. We aren't going to assume you did a 4th gear drift across the arctic tundra in some massive ice race whenever you spend 5 minutes typing up a detailed visual of you drifting in 4th gear.

As far as the "it's obvious how many of you know the difference between a drift and a power over by this thread; not many comment" that was made... it's obvious you're an idiot being as a power over is a form of drifting, and this is a conversation about drifting stock M20's, which aren't exactly renowned for doing 100mph dynamic drifts. Also the guy is obviously new to drifting so to recommend much more than power over would be pretty stupid on your part. Nevermind the fact that almost all videos and pictures posted were E30 M20's in full counter steer, flying sideways. Last I checked... we call that drifting.

I only read your first paragraph to say you have no idea what you are talking about.

While the idea of nitrous in my e30 was never really considered, I have drifted a nitrous-equipped Mazda Miata. Aside from the nitrous, the motor is bone stock. Spraying did wonders for that motor and it really gave that little 1.6l the extra "umph" it needed.

All has it's ups and downs but your arguing is clearly unreasonable and narrow-minded at best.

PS: And please drop the Drift Bible "dynamic drift" lingo.

1) if you had only read my 1st paragraph that would probably make you the close minded one not me, I just happen to be opinionated when it comes to nitrous.

2) I would have believe your "I'm a total hardass and only read your first paragraph" bullshit if you hadn't popped off at the mouth with your drift bible comment about something I said in paragraph 3.

3) again remember that everything that I said if directed towards someone interested in drifting a stock M20, who sounds like they have little to no experience going sideways in anything, the reconsider your feelings about my post, and then go back again and consider the fact that I could care less what you think about my post anyways, and don't turn this into an e-peen post war.

If you've never heard of an "Edit" button, then start by learning about the "Search" function. I added more to my post (hence the post-script)

Now, you're one of the first that I bring up the bullsh*t flag on. I have dedicated myself to helping others who have interest in drifting their cars, but that does not mean I'll bend over for anyone who has little to no idea of what they are talking about.

Now, if you think I am unqualified to talk about drifting. That's fine. I learned most of it on my own when no one before me was drifting an e30 (or at all for that matter). If I learned on my own, then so can anyone else.

I could care less if you can drift... that doesn't make you intelligent, and the lack of intelligence in your post towards me was the issue. I'm sure from everything I've seen around here with you in it you are a fantastic driver, and drift quite well in your E30, and probably other cars you use at the track as well. Make no mistake, my rebuttal was not a personal attack on your abilities as a driver.

Again, my basic point was the fact that this is obviously someone new to drifting or at least drifting an E30 stock. The first thing out of your mouth should have probably been to agree with me about doing suspension work before something like nitrous, even if you have a difference in opinion as to wether people should spray their stock M20 drift cars. As experience as you sound I'm sure you would agree with this yes? It is apparent you did at first only read the first paragraph otherwise you probably would have held your tongue on that comment about nitrous and my being close minded once you saw I was only saying that because the money should be put into suspension work if anything first.
As far as the use of nitrous goes, I have absolutely no problem with the stuff. It is a great and inexpensive initial-cost power adder. However anytime it is in the hands of anyone, like the OP, who sounds like there is a chance they might not be very experience at what they are about to try, I highly discourage spraying. Unless in a drag situation, where it is much harder to hurt yourself spraying.

Regardless of everything, you can't be a real expert at anything even if you're amazing until you realize everyone is not. So in short, to everyone out there, just always remember the people you're teaching about something might be well below the usual learning curve you speak to at the track.
