My vacation at the shop.. that is swap (pictorial)

So, instead of going to LA or Florida, I decided to swap a fresh m20 in my car along with an '95 e36 M3 steering rack. I threw in pics my smoked lights because I haven't whored them out yet.

PS, I'm an idiot. Go on vacation when you can. . take a walk, party, stare at a blank wall. Do anything but work on your time off. I don't even want to look at my car right now and it's performing better than expected/ ever. I might resent her for quite some time now. I can't even look at her.

So, here's a few things hanging out at the shop right now.

Guess what this is going to be..

    Okay, I'll give it away...

And it's back.. Do you have any idea what a pain it is to get the clock working in this car?

On to my work. I need to spend some money on a decent camera next.. Sorry for the quality of the pics and there is quite a time lapse issue (I was to busy painting, working to get photo's of all the steps, but I'm sure you can piece it together :D).

    Head Lights

The light were done a week before I started on everything else.. I'll just put up the photo's now..

    Before

    During

    brake fluid leak much?

    New vs. Old

I almost cried to see this go.. almost

    Going in..

I missed photo's of masking/ painting the bay.. I was pretty high I must admit.

Alignment time. I was able to shoot a ton of photo's her because Micah was doing all the work. I didn't get a photo of me standing around with my thumb up my butt (the flash just wasn't capturing the moment).

    And Finally, sort of after..

Thanks delatlanta, Adam and of course Micah. I'm going to rest now..

    Cheers

WAY better than expected.. The stock m20 is pretty quick when freshly built. I'm going to dyno it and then some M30 tuning.

Thanks Man.. Can't wait to see what you've done with your car. Shame you didn't go to 4ngie. Well, actually you really didn't miss much. I hung out for about an hour, went home a dried off. Hanging around in the rain sucks.

I do have a few pics from it though:

In retrospect, I would have been pissed to drive to the meet from Savannah.. I was kinda pissed to drive from the highlands (10 minutes away)

Great now.. I need to take a break from her (although I know I'll be working on it this weekend). It's a never ending story.

Well done. Nice to see you sexed up the M20 before it went in.

After putting my 95 M3 rack in I will say it is the best -go-kart feeling- and -new car feeling- mod you can do.

Awesome that you got to see Alex Roy and his M5. You talk to him?

I never saw myself living here.. But now that I do, it's hard to imagine not living in Atlanta

I didn't talk to him (I'm not too sure anyone really talked to him, he seemed accupied in talking about himself too much). I didn't get his autograph either.. It was all too much.
