i have a chance to snag a e36 M3 full exhaust for FREE. I would like to put it on my 86 325e if possible. Can I do this with light modding??? anyone attempt it?

I am surprised nobody has replied to this. I can't say that I have done this, or what kind of modding it will take, but I have an ACS e46 muffler on the way for my e30 318i that I intend to put on. as far as I can tell, I shouldn't run into too much modding, since save for the rear diff, that part of the car is pretty open underneath. I'm only running a single pipe.
If you take it to an exhaust shop, they can make anything fit just about. I would suggest going in and asking them what it would take, they are usually pretty helpful.

i question the actual manifolds off the motor as being a problem possibly. BUT the rest fits as us NW swap guys use e36 cats and the muffler section all the time. if the manifolds line up, youll need the hardware to mount the muffler. as the e36 exhaust uses a different style hanger in the rear.
