    TRM September Software Sale

    Hey everyone,

We would like to announce our September Software Sale to R3vlimited customers.

    A bit about our chips:
We personally tune all of our in-house NA race/track cars and have several outside NA and FI race cars running our custom software. We offer standard customizable tuning for all OBDI M50 based motors and also full custom tuning for cars with aftermarket camshafts, headers, forced induction, or race fuels (or any combination of the former). A bunch of people on here are already running our chips, hopefully they'll post up and let others know about their experiences.

    The good news:
We will be offering 10% off all of our NA software from EWS delete chips all the way to full custom NA software with the coupon code E6F3QU.

(This can't be combined with the free-shipping coupon code I've given out in the past, but this will save you even more money. :D)

    TRM OBDI Chips

Please feel free to PM me, email me (matt@racersmarket.net), call (770-904-5121 / for credit card orders), or post in this thread with any questions, concerns, or requests you may have. Currently, we are only taking NA Custom tune orders via personal contact (phone, email, PM).

No, and unfortunately we don't have any plans to. There are a couple other guys out there who have gone down that path, e36n on BFC comes to mind.

Yeah thats what i figured. that guy e36'n is very hard to contact. I showed my interest in his product and hes taken about a month to respond. I dont feel comfortable sending him $600.

TRM seems much more reliable :)

Have I ever told you how awesome VANOS is?

But seriously: Swap in a junkyard vanos motor and we'll be happy to tune your 413 or 506.

Hahaha i kinda dont want a "junkyard" motor. The heads are the same right, its just the valve cover, cam trays, cams and the vanos unit? Are the lifters the same? My head was refreshed a year ago and i like the dual valve springs.

And, can i technically run the 413 and respective vanos harness on a non vanos motor just w/o the vanos stuff?

I think the motors are different enough that the electronics won't work. We'd be willing to try if you really want, I know we can turn the vanos off in the software. If you really want to try, we can probably make it work.

We actually have a non-vanos converted to vanos here in the shop. It's totally fucked (pulled it out of a racecar we're building an M52 for)

The heads are not really the same, the NV has 7mm valve stems and double springs (I'd rather have 6mm valves and conical springs (like the M52 or S52)) Also the non-vanos cams and trays are very different, so you can't swap in S50 or S52 cams (with the vanos). But the guy who built this motor decided he would be smart and put in S52 cams anyway, which proceded to grind the hell out of the cam trays.

I was under the impression the head casting was the same. Yes the valve guides are different and the cam trays arent the same. So with the cam trays, cams, and vanos stuff installed the only difference is the 7 vs 6 mm valves and the spring set up no?

Whats different as far as electronics?

The only thing i would be afraid of with leaving the non vanos cams and valvetrain would be the cam position sensor mechanical parts. I wonder how much different the angles are and such.

I wish i had a vanos head laying around to compare to my broke nv one...

Can you do custom remote tunes with just a list of mods or is it pretty standardized? I would like to keep my 413 if I swap in my s50 but will need a chip for the extra displacement/cams and such. If thats possible how about adding in a 3.5 maf and injectors?

The castings are probably the same. The later valve stuff is better though.

I think the trigger wheel on the intake cam is different, you may not be able to use the same cams. You'll also have to re-clock the crank trigger wheel, you'll need to remove the pin sticking out of the hub and move the damper (I don't remember the exact measurement. )

As for electronics, you'll need knock sensors, the cam and crank sensors are different, the ICV is different. Not sure about the TPS.

Well... are you looking for a remote tune ($650 + dyno time) or a custom configured chip (start at $250 + various options)

Either way we can tune for all sorts of different mods based on the extensive local and remote custom tuning data and experience we have. Some of the options are listed on the site... Here is the S50 chip listing: http://www.racersmarket.net/catalog/...products_id=96 Just email me with specifics if you need something not listed. No idea, but they're different part numbers.

Do have software for a S52 OBD 1 with a 413 DME with 3.5 HFM, LTW Flywheel, 24lb injectors and Sunbelt sport cams?

We've tuned a couple of motors locally with Sunbelts, but not enough that I'd be willing to just send out a chip with a whole lot of confidence. We'd have to do a custom tune for you, which would not be a problem, it's just a matter of dialing in the tune to your particular motor.

                              Matt,

I just sent a payment for an OBD I S52 chip. I hope tihs will fix some of my problems. If you need additional info please let me know.

                              Thanks, Fernando

Edit: I don't know if this makes a difference but its a OBD I M50 fuel rail with stock S52 21lbs injectors.
