Ireland Engineering: M30- big 6 Side Draft Manifolds?

Anybody have a photo of these manifolds, preferably with carbs? IE's website does not show one. Using the matching carbs for throttle bodies, welded-in injector bungs, & megasquirt for fuel & ignition should result in a good looking engine bay.

Sweet. What will your setup consist of?

I'm pretty sure Korman and Peirce Manifolds both have pictures of their carb mounts. I thought about running the carb mounts with Jenvey throttle bodies and Megasquirt. It would be a pretty amazing setup, but unless you were running a HOT cam, high compression, etc, you would be spending a lot of time and money for not much gain. Also, remember that the short ITBs won't do many favors for the torque curve, mostly just high end power, and that's not where the M30 shines.

Still, arguably small gain unless the rest of the motor is absolutely wild. I'm not bashing the idea or anything, I'm just saying that it's expensive and time consuming for little gain.

THOUGH, the only M30s I have ever heard of making more than 300hp naturally aspirated have either had ITBs or Webers... And of course the crazy 11:1 pistons, 300 degree cam, etc.

Good argument for the TCD stage 1 kit. 300hp+ at the crank and quite a bit more torque than that at a modest 9psi. The M30 is big enough that turbo lag is almost negated too! Not as snappy and crisp as a hot NA motor, but I'm sure it would still be a lot of fun.

11:1 isnt that crazy though, thats static compression, with such a large camshaft, dynamic compression is vastly different as the cam bleeds off compression due to overlap/late closing. So its not really a problem with fuels, etc.

Here's a link with information about dynamic compression, if anyone is interested.
