    bbs 378's

    hey guys/gals sorry to ask another dumb question but what should i do with the lips on my bbs'? they are oxidized/ gunked over so i was thinkning of media blasting them to get rid of the oxidation and polishing the hell out of them... any ideas, opinions...etc will be greatly appreciated



    look at the rear wheel that's what i mean

    Haha, I am insanely jealous of your wheels! The RZ378s are awesome!

    I just started polishing the lips on my wheels (which are not 378s) and I just used some paint stripper to remove the clearcoat, then after removing the oxidation, I moved from 320 grit sandpaper, to 400, to 600, to 1000, and then 1500. I then used a polishing compound to remove the fine sanding scratches. Looks great!

        what do you guys think should i leave the center color matched to the body or go black center?

            I've never been a fan of high-polished lips, but there's no use machining the lips because the clear coat will eventually wear off and look crappy. I'd say polish the lips and leave the faces silver. My brother is doing the same thing to his RZ378's that I plan on buying from him very soon.
