Installing fogs on a DB car

1989 vert, had no fogs originally.

Bought an old style sport air dam, fogs had no wires because chop shops suck:

Got replacement Hella fogs for Christmas:

Plugs the car already has do not match the new light plugs:

What now? Bavauto sells a "fog light repair kit" that is a replacement plug for the fog light wiring harness... but it doesn't specify exactly what plug it is (male, female, or both).

Surely someone else has had this problem!

hmm never seen that before. I thought all early models had the same connectors.

Would you be able to tell me which plugs there are on your car?

are you sure that isnt for the outside temp sensor? my fog light wires were dangling behind and just above the valance when i had no fog lights.

I have the same unused plugs on both sides of the car, just below the headlight assemblies. I can't see any other plugs anywhere on the car.

Plus I don't even have an OBC for a thermostat to connect to...

i find it odd that an 89 would have no OBC. I would expect at least the 6 button. Do you have the 2 button clock then?

Can you find the Fog Lamp wires and just splice/connect the Black/Brown wires from the fog lights to the fog light wires?

Yes, the car has the two button analog clock.

And I could splice, but then if I ever need to pull out the fogs or take off the front air dam...

Which is why I'd need to give it plugs anyway.

it probably doesnt match because that car had the fogs mounted to the bumper originally. which i think is a different plug then the IS cars were.

The connectors from my fog lights look the same as his, and mine are bumper mount. I'm pretty sure all of the fog light connectors are the same, I find it odd that his look like they do.

Go to the junkyard, cut both male and female plugs out of car splice wires; problem solved.
