    What would you do?

    So things are not going to work out on my e36m3 I had got. Im going to put money, time and effort into fixing my 325es. The car has 280kish on it. Id like to run turbo on it but i know that it needs to be rebuilt.

    Which sounds like a better deal? Rebuild my 2.7 to run boost. Then get a turbo kit down the road. Or should i swap a m50 into it? i know costs will be different for both, but by how much? Anyone have a turbo 2.7? How does it drive, feel?

    Also know im younger and have less than a year of driving experience and experience working on cars. So i need something easy to maintain and something I can learn to work on as I go.

    M50 swap.

    can do basic upgrades if and when you get a summer job. do some cams when you get used to the power. will be more reliable and economic.

        With that level of experience, you don't need that kind of power in a car. And the engine in the car right now is far easier to work on than an M50, which makes it a better learning tool.

        Keep the car the way its for a few years, then reassess where you want to go.

          Bebuild stock!

          I am with the others, rebuild stock, it will run reliably and have more power than it did, being a Fresh Engine. Get more experience and go for the power later.
          I have been driving for twenty six years and have had situations where my 1988 325is, headers, free flowing exhaust and 4.10 limited slip has almost gotten away in wet weather conditions! Be careful enjoy, learn your car, get experience then go for power later.
