So I went JDM as the title says...but old school JDm to be exact. I mean my love for e30's has not gone anywhere and I will remain on the forum but I had to take this opportunity. So I put my car on craigslist, hoping to sell it within a day or two, and I did. For over asking price even!
The next morning I drove out to pick up my new car. It's a 1972 Toyota Carina which is ultra rare and in demand. The body is in amazing shape with minimal dents and zero rust except under the hood but it's only surface rust and is being taken care of this week. The interior is also in great shape. As for the engine...it runs well but dies sometimes and I know it's not the alternator so I have concluded that it must be the carb. That will also be taken care off immediatley. The suspension is awesome and rigid and really low. Fortunatley the exhaust is the only thing that scrapes as the lowest point is about 1.5 inches off the ground. The wheels are also filthy as they are 14x7 enkei mesh running 195 toyo proxes. The previous owner had had the wheels since new and only used them for about 15000 miles on his previous car so theyre mint condition with the exception of one scrape.
My plans for the car are first to save up for an engine swap as I was thinking a 20valve Toyota blacktop and then move on from there. Next would be paint and body and eventually suspension rebuild and interior.
Anyways onto the pics... and the hate

And a pic of the previous owners one of many many toyotas
