Pic from the AD. PO said had a clogged CAT...Fuel tank was rusted pump destroyed. I wanted to get it running and drive it once in a while, but I started taking the rear end first to redo the bushings and could not put it back together with new bushings and a nasty looking x member...so I started stripping, priming and repainting and that's when it got out of hand. I wanted everything to look good. Here are some pics of the progress so far. ENJOY!

Thanks..... I considered powder coating, but it would cost me a lot. So I decided to put money towards new parts and do the paint myself. I pressured washed all the components w/ all purpose cleaner, light sanded and primered. I used high gloss Rostoleum, but gave every part 3 coats of paint after each coat was dry.Last edited by E30 Projek; 07-09-2009, 06:22 PM.

rebuilding axles is great..saves a lot compared to buying new ones.
Ive only had 1 or 2 CV joints be no good....2 inners were from a 1995 turbo 911 that had had leaked out the grease (PO had neglected to put clamps around the boots, and subsequently had axle grease all over the place..and this was on a race car!), and the balls had left valleys and grooves in both the cage and the outer shell...
