    FS: ’90 S50 E30 325i w/E30 M3 5-Lug & Interior –CO

    SOLD to a local.

OVERVIEW: For sale is a sweet sterling silver 1990 325i with an S50 swap, black E30 M3 interior, E30 M3 5-lug and brake conversion and coil-over suspension. I don’t need to tell you that it’s fast and handles well – you know that – or you wouldn’t be looking for one yourself J.

    Price:
$9000 and after you read about all of the premium goodies – I think you’ll find it to be a very fair price.

    Why Sell?
I love the idea of a light(er) weight E30 with updated power and handling (they’re a blast to throw around) – not to mention the classic style. However, it’s far more than I need for the very limited use it will get. Not looking to trade.

What I know about the car:

    Chassis:
    · 1990 325i Coupe with about 270k miles
    · VIN: WBAAA1314LEC68925

    Engine/Trans:
    · S50 had about 180k when installed
    · Cold air intake
    · TRM tuning
    · 5 speed manual (original E30) -fairly smooth
    · Short Shift Kit (type unknown)
    · 3.73 LSD
    · E30 radiator
    · Aluminum thermostat housing
    · New water pump and upgraded to metal impeller type
    · A/C not installed (have compressor, new dryer and R134 retrofit kit – need lines fabbed [have parts])
    · 9-13-09 Edit - New gaskets and plugs installed. Have new valve cover gasket (current one is leaking) and spark plugs waiting to be installed

    Exhaust (new from cat back):
    · Stock manifold
    · High-flow cat (not sure of brand)
    · Center resonator
    · Ultraflo muffler with twin stainless tips

    Suspension/Brakes:
    · E30 M3 Suspension modified for coil-overs –Eibach springs & converted to wheel studs
    · Bilstien shocks
    · Eibach sways that are properly connected to strut housing in front like on M3s
    · Treehouse racing LCAB's
    · IE rear sub frame mounts
    · Front strut bar (generic – aluminum)
    · E30 M3 calipers and rotors (upgraded brass slider pins on front)
    · Braided stainless lines

    Exterior:
    · Recent non-professional re-spray to what PO claimed was a very straight car. Job is about a 15 footer – I’d say about 6 out of 10 (I’m picky about over-spray and quality prep – this one does not meet my standards but most people say it looks great – car get’s lots of compliments)
    · Original VIN on all panels
    · Grille and other body trim was painted – looks pretty good
    · 17X8 ASA Wheels (AR1 - I believe) with 235/40R17 tires -Some curb rash and scratches – about 7.5/10
    · iS Deck spoiler
    · Clean tail lights
    · Have yet to find any rust and PO replaced sunroof due to bubbles
    · Euro HellaH4 head lights
    · Clean look with abandoned antenna (was pushed up inside the c-pillar) but reception not too good (see pic for plug in hole on rear quarter)

      contd...

      Interior:
      · Black E30 M3 Seats (front and rear)
      · Near crackles dash (one crack on pass side that can only be seen when looking in from outside)
      · Near complete tool kit (missing just one tool)
      · Cruise works
      · 6 button OBC – intermittently works
      · Check panel works except oil light due to sender or wiring issue
      · Died carpet and rear deck (was gray originally)
      · Working iS map-light rear view mirror
      · Mirror tweeters
      · Power windows and switches all work well
      · Manual sunroof – works well
      · Headliner about 8.5/10

What could be improved and other full disclosure (I don’t want future owner to have any surprises):

      · Miles: Although I believe the Carfax number to be pretty close, because the odometer was non-functional when I purchased the car (fixed now), I will have to sell it as “true mileage unknown”. I think it’s safe to say it had between 260 and 270k when I installed the 170k odometer so it’s easiest to just add 100k to what the new gauge reads. Recent Carfax report will be emailed to interested buyers.
      · Engine miles: if PO’s were correct, then adding 20k to the current odometer (although conservative) should be pretty close
      · Owner who swapped told prior owner that compression checked out before it was installed. I drove it 1300 miles to get it home with no issues (pulls very strong at low and high end). I'll get compression and leak down tests for any interested buyer - at buyer's expense.
      · Clutch seems good but makes some noise when warmed and idling in neutral
      · Lightened flywheel? or something that makes the throttle very responsive compared to my E36 M3 (not a negative but unable to confirm what, if anything, has been done)
      · Muffler is too loud for my tastes (but I’m pushing 40 yo so . . . )
      · E-Brake not engaging
      · Chips/small cracks in pitted windshield
      · Tires: due for replacement and the right front occasionally rubs front of fender plastic with sharp turns
      · Wheels: – not sure size of spacers front and rear. Some curb rash and scratches – about 7.5/10
      · Seats: about 8.5 or 9 out of 10 with one nickel sized tear in driver’s bolster (see pics) –pretty soft leather. About 5-6 out of 10 on functioning condition (needs shocks and the rails have slight surface rust)
      · Fuel tank leaks when full (believe it's the rubber filler connection)
      · Stock steering rack is aged – noticed a drop of fluid on passenger end of rack
      · Throttle cable needs to be addressed (sticks occasionally – probably due to poor fit in E36 throttle body bracket – same for cruise cable end which should be swapped with E36 or other correct cable)
      · Trim missing on old aftermarket Sony stereo (marginal to poor sound system all around)
      · Windshield wiper jerky on intermittent setting
      · No spare tire
