    Racing Dynamics/Alpina style wheels. Value?

EDIT: I finally picked up these wheels today and got some better pics, see my new post down below, looking for some info

I found these wheels today but cannot find another set online. They are Racing Dynamics, i know that much from the RD stamped in the center. 16x8 et20, there are 5 wheels but he only threw 3 in to come show them to me, he says the others are 16x7. they are obviously an alpina style but i can find alpinas, havent seen these. Anyone know the value or vintage? history? let me know!

My set of Racing Dynamics say just that, no "RD" stamped anywhere.

I will try and get a closer pic but the letters are pretty big and they look just like the racing dynamics font.

I put a down payment on them but they are not in my possession yet so i cant get a closer pic. here are the others i took, i rolled one up next to my 535is, they definitely look period correct. The guy used to have a gray market 628 and thats what he bought them for, says he paid $850 for them on ebay but sold the car and just wants to get rid of them. He came into my work and asked "whos bmw out front?" he then explained the wheels and i told him to bring them back for a look.

Picked up the wheels today. They are pretty sweet. i got some close up pics of the "RD" but im hoping you guys can shed some light on these. I got 5 wheels. 3 are 16x8 et20 and 2 of them are 16x7 et11. i got 4 of the flat smooth center caps and 4 chrome bmw centerbore caps. 4 of them had junk tires. it looks like they have been repainted fairly recently, very good condition. He gave me the original printoff of when he bought the wheels on ebay in 2003 and the seller had them listed as alpinas and never once mentions racing dynamics. The guy i bought them from thinks he was ripped off and sold them to me saying they were racing dynamics. Let me know if you guys find some info. and feel free to make offers haha. i really didnt need these but couldnt pass up such a cool set.

Nice wheels, Mac! They are not real Alpinas. Those are stamped with ALPINA on the face. The guy that bought our M-Technic may be interested. Those would fit it. Looks better to me without the flat caps. Thanks for the kind words in the M-tech thread. The wheels would also fit early 3.0 CS, besides e30 M3s. Try Bimmerforums for a larger audience.

That says "RG", not "RD". Stands for Ronal Gmbh, the original manufacturer of Alpina wheels.

thats the kind of stuff im talking about! see the "D" looked backwards or something. so your wheels are genuine alpina? any other distinguishing markings?

I don't have Alpinas, just a picture I found, but I've seen a similar question and looked it up before.
