    DDM Raptor brand?

Anybody running these? I am thinking about putting ellipsoids back in, but they must have HID's in them to make it an upgrade over H1/H4 Hella buckets.

    Raptor brand 35w slimline http://www.ddmtuning.com/products/Ra...it-102-85.html

    Are these any good?

    Thanks

I have a couple of buddies that have thrown them into their e36s, and they seem pretty happy with them. I 've got a set of 3k 35w raptors, but I haven't gotten a chance to thrown them in my fogs yet ... for the money, i think they are well worth it.

    Cheers

Ordered a 4500k 9006 set. Can't wait to install them. I just installed ellipsoids, and boy do they suck w/o HIDs compared to H4 lights ....

Good thing you live in Cali where DDM is located.

Raptor is hit and miss and I suspect because it doesn't go through strict QA process somewhere in the manufacturing phase or all phases of manufacturing the unit, hence part of the reason for lower costs.

You will either get a good one or bad one that you'll have to return(possibly multiple times) until you get a good one.

My friend had to return his 3 times until he got a good one. For the price of shipping, he could've just got their slightly more expensive slim line and got a lifetime warranty to boot.

I've had mine sitting on the shelf the past few months but I guess I should start using them to make sure I don't get a bad unit since their is only a 1 year warranty on those.

running 3,000k raptors in my high beams, have worked well so far for a couple months.

DDMs 3000k bulbs appear to be something like 4300k with a yellow tint/film on the bulbs which is kind of lame, though. its yellow light, but it isn't brighter than the 4300ks like it should be.

meh, should be just fine for fogs, but i don't like it in my application where i tried to get as much light as possible out of my highs. like i said, it IS yellow light.

It's usually taken about a week or so after putting in the order to get to my door . Sometimes it takes them a couple of days just to send out the email confirmation (the three times that I had ordered).

                        Cheers
