    My e30's summer

This summer was busy for my car, it saw more events this summer than it did last year and the year before that combined. Ended up doing 4 track events at Mosport (2 big track, 2 DDT track) and the entire local BMW Club AutoX series. I also ended up becoming an instructor this year, and so far have helped out at two events for the local BMW Club and one private school as well. The E30 stood up to all the track abuse this year without even a whimper which I was very pleased with.

There was a few pictures floating around from different events, picture credits thanks to some of our local board members Tor E30, Gnome, and Dble Trouble. Also many credits go to SamE30e and BMW_BMXer @ www.stanceiseverything.com (check out the feature on the local e30 meet! http://www.stanceiseverything.com/20...e30-meet-2009/ )

Now fuck winter. Goodbye sweet R comps, and hello winters and stock springs. :(

I might be remembering someone else, but I think he's on Jstock stuff.

Sorry about that boys, I forgot that Sam's links didn't work directly.

Negative on the J Stocks. Yes, I did have those last year, however I had some hefty fines recently to pay up, so that's why I had to get rid of the suspension and my BBS RFs as well. I'm slowly working my way back up.

I ended up getting used H&R Races and stock Bilstein Sports from ebay this spring. It was really high at the front after I installed them, so I did the one coil chop method, which to my dismay increased the spring rate by a fair bit (anyone who says its a dead coil is full of shit; I tested before and after myself in a spring rate tester). I was thinking to get the shocks revalved over winter to help cope with the springs, but I am sitting idle for now for at least a month or so to think things over in regards to the direction I will be taking the car in.

And yes, those are Euroweaves with 205/50 tires. I ran Nitto NT01s this summer, grip was well up to par with my old RA1s, but the tire life was substantially shortly. They seem to sit much wider than a regular 205, makes Michelin Sport Cups in the same size look tiny.
