Loud Pipes are a must have...

This week I had exhaust done with my supplied parts and then Saturday the whole car was ripped apart to wire up the vehicle for a full stereo install. Unfortunately have some faulty components which was fun and now have no tunes but the vehicle if fully wired. Installed fresh brakes, spark plugs(NGK Copper) and fixed some maintenance items and popped a fresh air filter in.

    Exhaust:

    Converted to single 2.5in mandrel
    Dynomax High Flow Cat
2.5in Inlet and dual 3.5in Slant Cut outlet Stainless Muffler

There is too much drone while just cruising but the tone/sound is good. Adding either a resonator or maybe a HP-2 hushpower resonator. For now I just enjoy it...

    What does she sound like?

      Thanks :)

Should sound better when the M52 goes in and even better with a supercharger or turbo

Do you have any more vids of the exhaust, like normal driving and such? Sounded good though.

such a great project. I think the exhaust is perfect and looks like it was well done. Who did your exhaust work and how much?

Wow looks and sounds great! I'm trying to decide whether or not to keep some sort of resonator on my car, this is convincing me to go without one

This thread should be stickied for those who make future exhaust videos. I hate how people put the video camera inside of the damn muffler.

This, R3V, is quality. Sounds great man!

Will do. I was just north today and 'found' this random road and it dead ended into a cul de sac...

Right after the downpipe comes down it is cut off, 2 into 1 and then single 2.5in with some 'header style' flanges on it. So I have cat section and catback section and then downpipe section.

I shopped around and then talked to owner, shop manager and the lead exhaust guy at the merlin right in town here. After talking to all of them, showing me what I had and some photos online(thanks r3v) they sounded very confident and very inspiring. 288 out the door and I am happy with the results.

Resonator of some type unless you love drone. There is just not enough muffler to kill the drone on the highway. I am going to tone it down with a resonator or Hushpower HP2 which both keep the sound but lowers DB and kills the drone. That is my plan right now. I love the noise though but I go out with the wifey in this car sometimes. The 328iC is too loud and uncomfy and the e30 is now too loud. Can't win haha
