    Fugitive - E30 340IM

    Hi guys!

As some of you already know, I'm from Sweden, so be nice to me when it comes to spelling.

I will make a very very long story short ..

The car that this project thread is about is a 320ik from the factory.

I bought the car for a very small sum, considering that I only wanted the body.

Here's how it looked when I bought the car winter -07:

At that time I was 17 years, so I did not have lot of experience in renovations ..

But here are some pictures of what happened during that winter, and spring..

Much time was spent to repair rust:

But then after a few months:

In the summer of -08 the car was a 325im..

Then came the autumn. The car were placed in a garage, for re-construction..

It was always about having the car street legal regardless of what was to be built. I contacted some people in charge of inspections of rebuilt cars here in Sweden.
I told my plans for them, and they gave me the thumbs up "just to start building '', So my plans I have for the car since the winter of -08 to now, is to build the car street legal with m60b40.
It is the engine sitting in either 540 or 740. Everything will be rebuilt on the car.
Chassie, Interior, exterior, Electrical System, and so on..
The undercarriage will be painted, and every pressed plate will be welded..
That is the main plan for the buildning.. But we will see what's gonna be changed and not.

    More pictures:

    M3e30 bones:

The engine that i buyed but then sold. Im gonna buy a whole car instead, 540 or 740.

    And here I am today.

I hope everyone that comes in to this thread will enjoy what I doing to the car :)

    Best Regards Kevin

That is a LOT of bodywork. You must be a very patient person to drill out all those spot welds! Good luck with the rest of the project, it looks like you have a lot of body work skills.

Im convinced that Swedes/Norwegians have special e30 building powers. It must either be their Viking heritage or all the meatballs they eat. Im going to have to eat more meatballs...

That was my point lol. Its all these darn Vikings. First they pillage midevil europe, and now there back to dominate the e30 scene!

That is some very clean work. Well done.

Are you gonna leave the back seat in? It doesnt look very usable.

                    Thanks!

The backseat is gonna be in the car all the time, but when I have the X in it's not so usable no..

But if I don't have it in, then it's easy to sit in the backseat.
