Wow, I remember selling these seats for very good $$$$$ to the actual owner of a 1991 E34 ALPINA Bi-Turbo (first Bi-Turbo that was imported to the US illegally and was parted out due to not being able to acquire a US Title), so I go to my secret storage in the house to look for some RECARO and ALPINA seats and this is what I found....

I remember Procuring the last 20 Meters of this Cloth from ALPINA Germany through my German contact (they won't sell directly to US) and shipping it here..Need to dig out the Original M Cloth as well, have many projects to complete as well as Fabric Supplier from Overseas wanted a sample to reproduce these and M Cloth Material to original spec....
      Cheers,

      Sal

never saw this thread before. so much win!! The E46 Mtech cloth is my all-time favorite.

This is what I ended up using for my vert's houndstooth interior. It's supposed to be OEM BMW tan houndstooth:

Justin from EuroInteriors found it for me. Here's the result.

afaik the houndstooth was only used in 85/86 or 86/87. the interior codes thread has details

Reviving this thread from the dead, anyone know if anyone has been able to reproduce the mtech or alpina/hartge cloths yet? Redoing my interior soon and im stuck between the M3/Cabrio cloth uberkaro design and doing an mtech interior. either the classic us Anthracite or the euro 318is striping.

                          uberkaro > mtech.
