Deal of the Day- I will upgrade to the new standard using brighter bulbs throughout, with Double the tail and brake light bulbs active. This is the Mo Brighta Mo Betta configuration, then I will send to you, ready to install and light up the world behind you.

What is this 'Mo Brighta Hooey', you ask???

Well, it's simply a way to bring the lights up to snuff. Using existing hardware, reflectors and lenses - with a bit of design modification - it vastly increases the visibility of your hind quarters, helping the driver behind you to see your E30 CLEARLY in any weather, day or night.

Tail Light function is 20 cp versus stock 6 cp, up to three times brighter, three times larger.
Brake Light function is 88 cp versus stock 32 cp, nearly three times brighter, two times larger.
(cp = candlepower)
Both tail and brake lights provided by two (or three) bulbs per side, instead of the stock single bulb (single point failure). Virtually never dark from a bulb failure!

Brighter brake and tail lights on the E30!

So, after a few emails back and forth with Levent in NJ (ZM Blue Devil), I am now including the venerable E30 three series in my bag of tricks, triple tails and dual brakes is the result. It seems the reflectors are more effective than the E28 reflectors, and larger too, so these babies really put out.

Yeah, I thought you'd like that ...

Stock and Upgrade pics attached. Early E30 version, right side; lens sections are (left to right): Reverse, Brake, Tail (with Retroreflector), Rear Fog (normally empty), and Turn Signal.

Here are the details for the pics:
TAIL LIGHTS- Stock light only
Plus One Tail light bulb (Standard Upgrade)
Plus Two Tail light bulbs (DeLuxe Upgrade)
BRAKE LIGHTS- Stock light only
Plus One Brake light bulb (both upgrades)

So, these are designed using similar technology and design approach as my E28 upgrade "Option C" and my E24 upgrades as well. Changing the 'upgrade' bulbs requires one extra step, a quick-disconnect on a wire supplying voltage to the additional tail light filament -- even an engineer could do it. (I know, cuz I are one.)

Changing the normal bulbs (turn, reverse, tail, brake) is unchanged.

These are a great product, we have 2 sets at the shop, gathering up 3 e30s to do a demonstration photo shoot - stock next to standard upgrade next to deluxe upgrade.

Stay tuned as we will be featuring both the late and early model kits shortly.

I have pictures for the late model before/after but not for the early model. Buy with confidence Andrew is the real deal.

Actually, I don't have anything in crystal red, since the tail light lenses stay with the car, I don't do anything to them at all; just to the light bulb carrier that comes off inside the trunk to replace bulbs.

I see in your sig you are a 'fashionista', so if you want, go over to mye28 dot com, there are several good posts in that site regarding conversion of amber turns to red, matching the rest of the lights.

If I find one I'll post a link here for you.

Red Turn Signal Lens - revisited

Well, since I last thought about it, the subject has come up again, I am now going to readdress the issue.
I decided to try making a set of red turns by coating the inside of the lens with a theatrical gel coating I used to put on bulbs to make them red.

Follow up on last post- I just found that jar of "Golden Amber" gel, will be dipping some bulbs and coating some lenses to see what effect I can get.
