Haven't had many updates lately...but I cleaned up the trunk today.....

          Before

          Seats out

Watch out for these brackets...they bite

          Made my own ground

          Drilled holes for the amp

          Bolted amp in

          Seats back in

My sub was moving all round in the trunk, so I used some velcro....

I folded this piece in half

Marked where the corner of the box is with tape

Put the velcro on the bottom of the box

Since this box is a super tight fit (height wise) I couldn't get velcro under the box when it was in place. I also couldn't pick it up and set it in place...so I used a piece of newspaper

          Put the paper down

Put the box on the paper

Slide it on the paper into position

          Rip the paper out

There was still a little wobble...so I stuffed some foam up top

          All done!

Lots of DIY here, cool to see a younger guy with a sense of craftsmanship and attention to detail. I'll be interested to see your wheel project! Nice work, nice thread.

It's good, there are a couple spots where it started peeling up, but it's holding up a lot better than I thought it would.

Well, I drag on the updates.

I like carbon fiber. So I'm making a couple pieces of it...

Get the carbon all cut...I used tape around the edges so they don't fray

Set up your area with newspaper so resin doesn't get everywhere

Since I'm making a flat sheet, I'll be using two pieces of aluminum to sandwich the carbon

Wipe the aluminum with some release agent

                            Weigh out the resin

Saturate the pieces of carbon and place them on top of the bottom piece of aluminum

Sandwich it all together...and weigh it down

Well, my great idea for cutting the carbon failed....so I might have to go with plan b.

                                :(
