731 Head SOLD 02/16/11
Alright so I need to sell my 731 head. I had a valve job done, assembled the motor and changed plans. I drove the setup around the neighborhood just for shits and giggles. Maybe 25 miles on rebuilt head.
As we all know a used 731 head is like $270-$400 depending on condition. I spent more than that on just the machine work.
Machine work/specs of head includes:
5 angle 'performance' valve job
12 new guides/bulleted intakes
Intake seats enlarged +1mm to accept machined -1mm i intake valves
Exhaust seats enlarged +2mm to accept factory i exhaust valve
Head surface decked and pressure tested
New valve stem seals
Currently assembled with used e rockers/shafts/eccentrics i dual valve springs, retainers and i cam/i cam gear.
The machinist was impressed by the porting that had been previously done on the head. Actually ported, not a dremel job on the intake inlets, but underneath the valves in the 'bowls.'
I also have the whole motor if anyone is interested. They are currently one piece.
Longblock from i valve cover down to the oil pan would include:
New head gasket
New lower crank pulley cover gasket
New head bolts
New timing belt
New tensioner/spring/pin
New Camshaft Seal
New Crank seal & Int shaft seal
Late model style i int shaft sprocket/pulley
i harmonic balancer and
New early style dual outlet water pump (if you were interested.)
