No updates at the moment, just recently moved, so still getting the garage together. I hope to be able to do some work this weekend though.
I'll leave you with a picture of the garage as it sits.

I didn't have room for it on the floor anywhere, so on the ceiling it goes! I can still reach the entire bench and half the garage. Going to mount the bottle next to it with some nylon straps.

Only update is that I bought 4 jackstands from Harbor Freight today ($15 a pair!), so the car can finally go back up on stands. Though I will likely build some rolling platforms for them so I can move the car easily before I put it back up in the air.

Back on the horse!
![]() Starting working on modifying the front subframe. Removed all the suspension first, then marked out where to cut using a laser level to draw a line. E30 subframe ain't got shit on an MG subframe. ![]() Marked ![]() All chopped up. ![]() Re-mounted to the car. ![]() I was a little bit worried that I would have problems with the pieces flexing the frame rails inward and I would have to brace them outward until I re-welded in the center, but bolted up, it doesn't move at all. Next up will be making some 1/4" plates to weld on the ends, then using DOM tubing to ladder brace across the bottom. Hopefully will get the plates cut tomorrow at work. |

Got some 1" x .120" DOM tubing from work today for the cross member. Still need to make patterns and get the plates made up.

Nice progress. Funny your picked up 1" x 0.120 DOM today, I just got my tubing bender die in this morning for that exact size for some extra cage bracing. Great minds think alike.
