This is a very very clean example of an e28. I purchased this last year and fix a ton of little issues. I was planning
on keeping this car for years but i bought an 01 m coupe back in dec. I have 3 cars and not enough space for the all.
I am not in a hurry to sell this car so no lowball offers, if you dont think this car is worth what i am asking then you
are not the person for this car. Good solid clean e28's are getting harder to find...
This car gets tons of compliments wherever it goes, it is not perfect, but this is a very solid fun driver that needs nothing
to drive it every day.
The Good:
Excellent Interior, no rips in seats, new looking door pannels, clean carpet.
power front seats work execpt headrests
lighted m shift knob
all windows work, backs are a little slow, i am going to lube them
sunroof functions perfectly
headliner good, has 2 spots around sunroof where it is coming up but really not a big deal. no stains etc
2 sets of floor mats (currently has oem M5 mats)
Crack free euro dash, has one spot near passenger side where it looks like something was stuck to it.
center air vent functional
Full euro bumper\head light conversion. Euro bumpers in good condition no rust or chrome flaking
no accidents that i know of, all pannels have matching vin stickers
Style 5 wheels, polished lips in excellent condition. brand new tires
bmw 750 front brakes, stops very well ate slotted rotors with oem bmw pads
bilstein hd shocks with eibach pro kit lowering springs. Excellent sporty ride but not harsh. Handles great!
Engine pulls very strong, not flat spots in rpm range or hesitation.
Transmission shifts excellent, flywheel was diamond surfaced when clutch was replaced.
Ireland Eng. Stainless Exhuast, great sound. Passed GA emmissions back in dec.
Alpine stereo, amp in truck, all new speakers. This was done by previous owners, sounds decent, ipod hookup on radio
shaddow line trim and tail lights
all chrome pieces shine well (window lock stripts etc)
spare parts (extra tail lights, new front window surround and more)
in the last year\2000 miles the following was done:
$500 tires bfg gforce sport
$150 fuel pump - new intank pump
$200 springs - eibach pro kit
$450 shocks - new billstein touring all four new rear shock mounts and spring pads
$130 fuel injectors - rebuild oem 17lb injectors
$500 front spoiler - purchase and paint cost alpina replica
$50 front bumper mounts
$100 window guides - all four replaced
$80 sunroof seals - new front and rear seals
$250 misc engine stuff - new plugs, wires, coil, intake boots
$900 clutch etc - new oem sachs clutch kit, clean up electrical ground points
$100 clutch master\slave
$400 reinstall and tach weld rear subframe bushings 1 was cracked and replaced
$100 new dog bones
$100 rebuild front and rear sway bar links\bushings
$80 new floor mats
$100 new seat belt parts and window moldings
$200 output shaft and shift shaft seals
$150 keyless entry
$140 stainless brake lines\caliper rebuild kit
$30 new soft fuel lines
There are many more little cleanup projects that i have done...
The bad
Very minor rust bubble near read window, has not changed since i have owned the car.
AC blows cool but not super cold, i am going to have it recharged (already converted)
could use some new window rubber (lower ones that connect to the trim
powersteering lines weep a little, but them what bmw doesnt...
Drivers mirror not working, replacement on the way
honestly this is a very solid car
