I had been waiting for a 3.25 LSD to show up in the "for sale" for a while So, when bmwway had one advertised, I jumped on it and sent paypal quickly. It took him about a week to ship it, but no big deal there. It showed up nicely boxed in a wood framed container - thumbs up.

I unpacked it and found the output shafts are gone, which is not a huge deal as I won't be needing them, but the diff internals are now exposed without them. Theres a bolt missing around one of the output holes, again not a huge deal, but not great (and why is it out anyway?)
My main problem is that the bolt that usually holds the ID tag is loose and the tag is gone.

There are no markings showing this thing is a 3.25 or an LSD. Now, I want to believe this guy, but this raises some questions. He says he removed the tag to clean it. That is not difficult to do with it attached. I asked him to locate the tag and ship it to me for piece of mind and for resale if I should ever sell it.

Here is his response:

I stand by what I sold you, it is what I said it is.

As for it affecting resell that isn't really my concern.

If I come across it I will pass it your way.

I hope that I have what was advertised, I'm just posting this as a warning to others.

Its not petty, man. The differential you sent is lacking items that are standard on every bmw differential (tags and bolts). Its like paying for a car with no VIN tag. Ya, it works but it seriously affects the value. Downplay it if you want, but I feel I've been shorted.



I'm not asking you to give me any money back, I just want the pieces to complete the differential.

I can test wether its an LSD when its on the car and I can do some speed/rpm calculations to figure out the ratio.

I still feel that a diff purchase should include the ID tag that is standard on all bmw diffs.

I searched his name for feedback before buying, but nothing came up. At least now theres something to document it. Hopefully once I get it installed, I can post up some good news.

I've sold a few items on here over the last year or so probably over 100 transactions, even a 4.1 lsd off of 325is.. No problems..

Update here. I did some work today to prep this diff for install. The ratio is indeed 3.25. Sorry if I came off as accusing. That wasn't my goal. I would like to have been informed of missing bolts/tags/output shafts, but the diff is indeed a 3.25 LSD. Thanks Bmwway.

I needed a obc indicator switch for a 325e, and bought one off eBay.com

Basically this guy ripped me off. He lied about when he shipped the part, and then when it finally arrived it was wrong, it was just a standard e30 turn switch.

His eBay username is bizzybella and he is in Utah.

He is not responding to my emails and has not been helpful in anyway.

File a dispute with paypal. With records of your messages, things are very much in your favor

I opened a case with ebay so now I can't do one through ebay.... Maybe I should've opened one in paypal first?

He marked the ebay item as sent on the 23rd of May ( i purchased it on the 14th of May).

On the 4th of June the guy responded to my questions saying the part should be there by now... but the tracking number I finally got and on the parts packaging it said it was shipped on 4th of June.

then when it finally arrived it was the wrong part :(
