Almost all fans are single speed devices. The low speed is achieved by an external resistor in series with the fan. Probably the best fans are those made by SPAL.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Any fan, if connected to your stock fan wiring downstream of the resistor, will be 2 speeds.

want to get rid of front fan and clutch fan and also I'm still using a/c.

Curved will flow plenty of air. Straight blades are noisier and designed for extremely high-performance cars that put out massive amounts of heat. A little m42 is nothing. Get the 16" pusher, mount it directly to the condensor and it will be more than adequate for cooling both the A/C condensor and the radiator. It cools my m30 just fine and that thing puts out twice the heat of an m42.

Using it as a puller will probably cut too much in to your A/C performance at idle for you to be happy unless you keep the stock aux fan as well.

are you sure pusher is the correct way?? many other people on clubm42 told me get to get puller which is because they cannot move as much air through a rad as an equivalently rated puller fan and second, that once you reach track speeds the pusher fan actually acts as an obstruction to airflow.

Are you driving at track speeds on your daily commute? And do you want to keep up the performance of your A/C? Everything is a trade-off

daily commute and I do want to keep my a/c.

Also I don't think a 16inch spal fan will fit where the aux fan is at.

                        thanks CorvallisBMW

the 16 fan fit perfect. no drilling require but needed to cut 3 little bracket off from the previous fan.

Looks great! Ditch the mechanical fan, it's doing zero work without a shroud, all you're doing it spending power to spin it.

I do have a shroud,it wasn't on because I replace the old radiator for a new one.

probably take off the clutch fan so there would be less drag and more life on water pump.
