    Brake light gremlin! Help!

Hey R3V! I need some help. I found out that my brake lights (including the 3rd brake light) comes and stays on when my foot's not on the brake pedal. Then, when i press the pedal a little, it'll turn off. Its an intermitten problem.

I have no idea what might be causing this. Could it be the brake sensor wires or the sensor under the brake pedal? I tried searching but no luck.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Damn. Didn't even think about that. I recently dropped my pedals to replace the bushings and had the same issue after bolting everything back together. I did the redneck thing and taped a piece of cardboard to the pedal to make better contact to the switch.

The brake light switch is self adjusting at installation in that the plunger will be pushed in when the pedal goes to its hole position. You can depress the pedal and pull the plunger out to reset the switch.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

This is very helpful, many thanks to everyone who chimed in. I'll take a look at the brake light switch to see whats going on. Hopefully it'll be as easy as described above. ;)
