    Spark Plug Change... HELP

    Flame suit on.

Okay I just bought some NGK ZGR5A plugs today. I gapped all 6 of them double checked twice. I applied anti-seize to top threads, etc. I did all that right.

I got in the car and torqued them. I dont have a torque guage, but I guessed based on old plugs that were in there.

One problem... the plug caps wont go on!!!!! The bosch plugs that were in my car have a skinny threaded top, but these NGK's have a much thicker top style.

I have pushed VERY hard, and nothing is working. I need the car drivable... so any ideas?

Swap tips? Reinstall old, known fitting spark plugs?

Hahahahaha this is hilarious. Pull them out and that end cap pulls off with pliers.
I'm laughing only because it happened to me the first time too.

<-------------------------Amazed that six spark plugs is this much of an issue to you. It's not like you gotta pull a 24v swap to flip the flywheel, or install a pilot bearing you forgot.

Who the fuck changes their lawn mower's spark plug(s)?

Maybe that's why we buy a new lawnmower every two years or so.....

                              My Dad and I. Duh

We have been using the same Snapper model lawnmower for 18 years now. Because we pull the air filter, and change the spark plug every two years... and change the oil. Obviously it works.

Car drove great. I dont feel any more power, but Im guessing I should have some... old plugs read .40 on average.

Tense drive, a cop followed my extra slow most of it. We were coming towards eachother and he was making a left, same street where I made a right. I had to go first unfortunately. I was scared he would ticket me for my euro plate
