10mm hubcentric spacers ok with no lip on them?

I am interested in 10mm spacers (stock e30, 4x100) for stock e30 wheels (b-caps or weaves)

If the stock e30 hub sticks out ~13mm, I’m confused as to how an appropriate amount of ‘lip’ can be put on a 10mm spacer(?)

Do people get away with 10mm hubcentric (57.1) spacers that have no lip on them?

If they have no lip on them, they are not hubcentric. The stock hub lip does not stick out far enough for 10mm spacers, you need hubcentric spacers to do it right.

      Thanks Matt

I think I had confusion regarding ‘hubcentric’ – like a lipless spacer could be hubcentric to the hub – but without a ‘lip’ for the wheel to center itself on, issues would result.

After some research – I’m thinking that 10mm spacers should be avoided in general.

i.e. an 8mm is going to be fine (lipless) since there’s enough hub there yet- while a 12mm+ spacer will allow enough space to include a lip for the wheel to get hubcentric on.
I guess I’m not seeing how a 10mm spacer is correctly possible..

I would not do the 8 or the 10, I would go for the 12 where the spacers have the hubcentric lip especially for your front wheels. If not then I wouldnt go with spacers. If you dont have the lip on it, your front wheels will vibrate like a mother effer

A set of 12 to 15mm spacers is what I’m thinking now - just for the rear.
Would want them for ‘damage control’ on bottlecaps – then possibly for euroweaves down the road..

I’ll be reaching out to e30Rob shortly.
