Euro S50 cams

Can Euro S50 cams be used in a US spec motor?

I did a basic search, and came up with nothing definitive.

No (to my knowledge) because the Euro S50 isn't an M52 motor, the head is totally different, but it works the other way round. The American Cams work in the 323/328 M52 Euro block to increase bhp by 30bhp. Hope that helps

I think 30hp with just the cams on an M50 intake'd 328i is a little optimistic. Dyno graphs around in Bimmerforums and E36 Tech suggest its a little closer 10-20hp depending on what the rest of the setup is.

Tell you what though, above 4000rpm you REALLY notice the difference. That being said mine hasn't been tuned correctly to run them yet. Can't wait to change that....
