I'm preparing to get upholstery work done and now I am having trouble making up my mind on what color to go with.
I have a white 4-door '91. Initially had my heart set on the classic, cardinal red. I am getting sport seats completely refreshed, and black door cards into which I'll have the shop stitch additional material where there is faux-stitch at the center of the door cards for a more modern 2-tone door look similar to the E28. Not really a big fan of the all-one-color style.
Now I'm reconsidering, realizing that I have the opportunity to go completely one-off non-period-specific. Definitely gotta be a BMW color though.
Contemplating a brown color.... E90 saddle is beautiful but white/saddle is becoming quite common (though it is an E30); E90 terra is a bit more brown and I like the color as well; E46 cinnamon is baller, love the color, but not sure how I like it against a white car... sometimes it looks a bit too orange; then there's chocolate brown, a dark color I've seen on the new X5s. E36 browns are too light for my taste on a white car (modena, magma).
Terra:
E90

1-series

Saddle brown:

Another pic, less bright, looks less orange

Cinnamon:

Thoughts/opinions? I've seen similar threads but none have shown anything too well-photographed, some cardinal shots but it seems to look different in every pic, nothing very brown. I'd love to see a well-done "saddle"-ish brown E30 interior.
edit: just went to build an X5 on bmwusa.com and they now have "cinnamon brown"! and 3-series chestnut brown.. oh snap.
