Bilstein, UUC, Ground Control, & M3 LCAB

Did a full overhaul on the front end of the turbo car yesterday! Big thanks to my buddy Shant aka Myster-e for the help!

The front of the car has been riding horribly since I bought it back. I was under the impression it has Bilstein sports in the front but it turns out they were HDs and blown! (They came with the car when I bought it in 2004). In went some very lightly used sports that I picked up from White325is.

Next up, it needed new control arm bushings. They were OEM style and the right side was ripped. Went ahead and put in some OEM M3 offset bushings! The control arms are still in like new condition so I didn't touch those.

Third on the list was some Ground Control "Touring" camber plates. A huge thumbs up to GC for this product, they are awesome! Everything went together very easily and the ride is excellent. No extra noises at all. Since my car needed new strut mounts anyway I figured I might as well put the money towards these and be able to correct my camber! Another cool feature is they drop the car 12mm lower than factory stack height. It's like having a set of drop hats without losing the suspension travel.

Last up was the UUC big brake kit. I purchased this through Levent at Guten Parts and the service was excellent. Levent is truely an asset to this community and I hope people realize this. The kit is very well made in my opinion and worth every penny. The install was very straight forward with no issues whatsoever. Only thing I needed was a 5mm spacer to clear the calipers with my Hartge wheels. Went with the DTC-05 pads since they are low dust ceramic and so far I am very happy. I'm thinking of upgrading the master cylinder to get a firmer pedal.

Anyway, I took a bunch of pics but these were the best few. Enjoy...

Yes! I definitely want to represent E30's at that one. Still have some more cleaning up to do before then.

That BBK officially kills it! Those GC plates are great, plenty of adjustment.

The car is really coming together Matt. The wheels, the stance, the tail and the black paint is a nice clean look. I guess I will get in line for a ride in the beast.;)

                          Cheers,

Thanks man, it looks a LOT better after polishing it last weekend. Still have a few more things to do but it's looking decent.
