Also for all those that said an american v8 will be too heavy. Take alook at everyone of those pictures. A nose heavy burnout machine isnt gonna grip down on the rear end and lift/push the front end like that.

I either used the ones that came with the original swap (which i think are just from the coolant fitting section at oriellys) or the resivor hose is a stock hose cut down to fit.

Late 80s and early 90s throttle body carb trucks and a welder. Im thinking just a k&n style drop in for rain and ill run just a thin cotton under the grills to keep the small particals out in the dry. Only downside of this setup is i cant run a 3x14" filter like the spectre style intakes. The stock filter are only like a 4x10 but being taller its not terribly smaller.

Picked up a holley 650 double pumper. (list 4777-2) it allowed me to use wedged and notched floats so i can run jet extensions and deal with fuel slosh. My buddy ben helped me pull it apart and rebuild it. Seems to run ok now with the new carb. Gonna need a few adjustments but i think itll do the job.

Got tired of the rats nest and god knows what cross fire was doing to performace so i finally bought some wire seperaters. Also rerouted the distro wiring.

Well got a 4.10 dif in it and after thinking the carb was crap i did some trouble shooting and adjusted everything and it was still running like crap. Noticed the tack would bounce just a bit at idle so i checked the plug wires and sure enough when i did the seperators i mixed up 5 and 6. Now it is rediculous. I think ill be able to run the entire evergreen course in 3rd with my gearin and power now.
Also just got the rest of my piping. Clearances were super tight with the 3" especially running under the tranny cross member so i found and ordered up some 3" oval transition pipes and some bends to finish it up. ![]() ![]() ![]()
