While swapping my S50, managed to go buy my wife a birthday present!
    check it out>>> http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=230292

    Updated page 2 & 3

Here are some cell pix of todays progress...
So far, clean oil pan, tranny, engine kinda,
Installed Oil Pan [ pick up tube, gaskets, cut extra bracket off, nut on oil pump and lockwired it ]
Installed water pump [ Thanks Paul [Airplanebuilder]]
    Installed new belts
    Put tranny on
    Painted cover

    Feels pretty good so far!

    So much still to do!!!
Wen. morning, going to try start removing my M20 out of my e30, and hopefully that will go smooth and i will get to installing Steering Rack, move brake booster, get the bay ready for S50.

Thursday/Friday Drop the S50 in, driveshaft, lsd, wires, mounts, sometime start dealing with exhaust... so little time.. so much to do!!!
If anyone done the swap more than welcome to help, or if want to come take a look welcome too. =]

Oh man! Wish you were closer. When you cleaned the oil pan did you pay special attention to the underside of the little baffle? It's nearly worth having a shop cut the baffle off, clean under/around and reweld it in. Also, has the oil pump nut been addressed? All things to keep in mind before you really get down to installing. Never worth having that stupid nut back out when you're on it and dumping oil pressure. Wish I could help! Best of luck and keep us updated ;)

I believe we got the 97 m3 drive shaft with the 4 bolt rear that works with the zf tranny and e30 LSD.
