Hey guys, I've gotten a lot of requests lately for a rust free and clean e30, so I'm posting the car I was saving for myself because it's a hard to find RUST FREE 1989 325i that runs and looks great. This is a rarity to have a zero rust car in the Northeast!! Plus I've installed a crack free dash! I was going to paint this car, but then it would cost over twice what I'm currently asking, and this way there's no hiding any imperfections behind new paint. You can see for yourself that this car is truly rust free.
I brought this car up from down south and we put alot of work into making it a super daily driver. We pulled the motor, ditched the automatic and did a 5 speed swap with a great low mileage trans, short shifter, newer clutch and really good pressure plate and flywheel. The nice thing is that this was an automatic car so the engine is really only starting it's new life...as a 5 speed!
I was saving these wheels for another project but they looked too good on this car to not use, so it has a set of Black genuine Borbet Type A's in awesome condition with New tires (but the car can be sold with bottlecaps,) and sitting on BavAuto lowering springs! We installed a Euro clock, and used the lip off a 325e which actually looks nice and beefy, (no modifications were made to the valence, and I also have an extra i lip if you prefer.) The engine has approx 190k miles and starts and runs great, no overheating, idles smoothly etc. I drove this car over 500 miles home after picking it up and the car ran beautifully without any problems or issues at all. The windshield was cracked badly when purchased so we found a near perfect windshield to install which looks great, clear with zero fogging. The car comes with a really nice sport steering wheel and we did a shadowline trim.
Brand new 0 miles we've installed new...
-Throwout bearing
-Oil pan gasket
-Rear main seal
-Alternator
-Exhaust gaskets
-Clutch master
-Mintex pads and new rotors all around
-Fresh Brake bleed
-Coolant flush, new coolant and bleed
-New shift boot and gently used bet very nice wooden shift knob
-Fresh oil change and new filter (Mobil 1)
And less than 1000 miles ago the car received a...
-New fuel pump
-New Timing belt
-NewWater pump
-New alternatior
-Newer Battery
-New radiator
-New belts
-New hoses
I still need to install the headunit, windsheild wiper arms and passenger mirror before sale. The clearcoat is pretty tired, and the drivers seat has 2 stitches that have come undone (NO tears or rips in any of the seats and the passenger and rear seats are near perfect.)
I'm lowering the price to $5,500 OBO with the Borbets, and $4,500. OBO on a set of bottlecaps. This will be the only time I drop the price because if it doesn't sell I will be giving the car a full respray and finishing the restoration and then posting the car back up for twice as much as I'm asking now.
I WILL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING TRADES plus cash...An e30 convertible...A 2002 driver or good project...24V driver or project...American Muscle cars.
I can't find the memory card for my good camera so I snapped a few with my phone til I find it...
On to the pics...
as it was when I got it home to the shop...
