    air bag removal

will removing the air bag and then replacing it again make your car not start? I took out the air bag out a while ago to go with a race wheel on and then sold the race wheel and went back to the bag. All the clips are plugged in and on the back of the air bag itself there is a clip. I think this clip can go in either way correct? So has anyone had this problem. I am one car down and would like to get the other out on the road for the week. Thanks.

Lots of people replace their airbag wheels. As far as I know that would not be the cause of a no start.

Is your fuel pump coming on? Does it crank? I've never seen removing an airbag cause a car to not start, let alone one from the 80's.

Ya the car cranks and I just replaced the crank censor. With the back seat out and the cover off the fuel pump hole. I can hear it pump while I crank. Is the sound of the pump suppose to be constant or pump then go off and then pump again and so forth?
